David Shuttle Ltd is a family business that has been established since 1978, selling an extensive array of luxury products, from Gift items to Homeware and Fine Dining to Jewellery, obtained from celebrated and distinguished brands.
In May 1979, there was a turning point for the product range in the business; a customer came to the shop from a nearby town to enquire about Villeroy and Boch’s tableware. After contacting Harrods to locate the agent for the product, the tableware was sourced and swiftly served to the customer. David felt inspired by the realisation that customers desired high quality, contemporary pieces and exemplary customer service.
There was a keen demand for the measureless range and luxury of products available in London, to be served to customers living outside the city. David travelled to trade shows all over Europe and England during his career, including Milan, Frankfurt and Birmingham’s NEC. The business evolved to acquire many European, as well as British, brands of giftware and tableware. Discovering unique and rare products from many countries has always been essential to maintaining David Shuttle Ltd’s charm and appeal to customers.
Following a period of healthy growth, the business relocated in 1983 to the main high street in Beaconsfield, which became the new home for the David Shuttle Ltd flagship store and thrived as one of the most successful independent Home & Giftware shops in the UK.
2008 saw the launch of the David Shuttle Ltd online website, which enabled the business to expand into a multichannel retailer. The online store continues to grow and unfailingly provides the same unique personal shopping experience as in-store, while reaching customers on an international level.
Joseph Shuttle, took over the business in 2009 and has since acquired new bestseller brands for the business, such as: Lalique, Emma Bridgewater, MacKenzie-Childs and looks forward to finding the next brands to add to the ever-evolving, high quality product list. Joseph aspires to David Shuttle Ltd reaching the next milestone of 50 years in business, while maintaining its legacy, safety and personal touch.
